Hundreds of New Points Offers
We just added well over two hundred points offers that our users can now complete for great gifts and prizes in our Prize Shop. The way the offers work is really simple–just like the offers your use to, except you don’t have to submit them, they’re credited to your account automatically as soon as they confirm.
To check out all these new offers, just login to your account, click “Points Offers” in the “Complete Offers” section, then click on the “Bonus Points Offers” button.
Remember, you can use your points to buy cool things in our Prize Shop like gift cards, iPods, and other electronics. We’re also in the process of adding a bunch of new items to our Prize Shop for you to purchase with your points. If there’s something you’d like to see, feel free to suggest it here.

Double Referral Bonuses
We’d like to thank everyone for bearing with us through some of our recent server problems. We understand it’s been very frustrating to alot of you–especially those of you who do alot of work trying to bring in referrals. We’re happy to report that we’re (finally) in good shape and excited to get back on to the other great projects we’re working on.
To show our appreciation for sticking with us for the last couple of days, we’re going to double the active referral bonus for the remainder of the month. That means for those members that have a Silver status and above, when you choose to receive the $1 bonus everytime one of your referrals does an offer, we’ll be giving you $2 instead.
Also, for those of you who are use to getting the $3 bonus everytime one of your referrals makes $10 or more, we’re going to increase that to $5. Both of these bonuses will be added automatically and are crediting in real-time.

Apologies for the Downtime!
As many of you may have noticed, we’ve been experiencing downtime off and on for the last couple of days. This is due to a number of reasons, but largely because we’re working on getting CashCrate.com moved over to a newer, faster system that fits us much better.
I just wanted to check in with you all to let you know we have a number of people working on this and we’re nearing the end of the transition. Things should be very stable quite soon. Also, rest assured that offers are still tracking normally during this period, although your stats may have been updating a little slower than usual the last couple of days.
Sorry for the inconvenience, we know this sort of thing is extremely frustrating and we hope to have all the kinks worked out shortly.

CashCrate Holidays Contest
We are very happy to announce our biggest contest in CashCrate’s history! We will be giving away thousands of dollars in prizes to our members during our Holiday Contest. The 50 members who earn the most “Crates” from September 15th to December 15th will win fabulous prizes. Members will be able to earn crates in a variety of ways:
Complete a free offer - Earn 1 Crate

PayPal and Minimum Payment Changes
We have a few payment changes that we want to bring everyone up to speed on. First of all, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be bringing PayPal back as a payment option starting September 1st. We’ve had a lot of requests for this addition over the last few months, and it should make it easier on those of you who simply can’t wait for your check to arrive. Best of all, we won’t be charging any fee for the service above and beyond what PayPal already takes out of the transaction.
To receive your payment via PayPal, you must have a Verified account. Then just login, go to “My Account”, select “PayPal” under “Payment Options” and enter your PayPal email address. Your monthly earnings will then be sent to your PayPal account instead of by check. Earnings from September and onward will be available through PayPal; payments from August and before can only be paid by check.
The other payment change going into effect September 1st is the minimum payment will be changed to $20. This won’t affect most of our users since our average check is well over $20, and it should help out your referral commissions by encouraging your referrals to more offers.

UPDATE (09/04/08): To clarify, the minimum payout change will not affect the $3 bonus you receive when one of your referrals reaches $10–that’s still in place. We’re also aware that this is a significant boost from our previous minimum payout, and we definitely understand your concerns.
That said, we do have our reasons for raising the minimum payout. For starters, encouraging users do more offers not only helps their referrers make some extra cash, it helps us keep processing costs down so we can keep both PayPal and check payments free of charge. Also, as we said, the average check for a user is well over $20, so for most this won’t affect them at all. Many of our new users take advantage of the offers and daily surveys and make $50-$100 during their first month, so it’s not that difficult to reach $20 in a month given the options available.
Add that to the fact that we have alot of new offers and earning opportunities on the horizon (we just added a bunch of new offers last week), and we think there is no question our program is still the most attractive around, especially considering some of our current promotions and upcoming contests. Over the course of the last two and a half years, we’ve paid out roughly two million dollars, and evidence of checks received is all over the web. We’re going to continue to do just that, and bringing new opportunites to our users is still our main focus.
