PayPal and Minimum Payment Changes
We have a few payment changes that we want to bring everyone up to speed on. First of all, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be bringing PayPal back as a payment option starting September 1st. We’ve had a lot of requests for this addition over the last few months, and it should make it easier on those of you who simply can’t wait for your check to arrive. Best of all, we won’t be charging any fee for the service above and beyond what PayPal already takes out of the transaction.
To receive your payment via PayPal, you must have a Verified account. Then just login, go to “My Account”, select “PayPal” under “Payment Options” and enter your PayPal email address. Your monthly earnings will then be sent to your PayPal account instead of by check. Earnings from September and onward will be available through PayPal; payments from August and before can only be paid by check.
The other payment change going into effect September 1st is the minimum payment will be changed to $20. This won’t affect most of our users since our average check is well over $20, and it should help out your referral commissions by encouraging your referrals to more offers.
That’s all for now. Take care everyone!
UPDATE (09/04/08): To clarify, the minimum payout change will not affect the $3 bonus you receive when one of your referrals reaches $10–that’s still in place. We’re also aware that this is a significant boost from our previous minimum payout, and we definitely understand your concerns.
That said, we do have our reasons for raising the minimum payout. For starters, encouraging users do more offers not only helps their referrers make some extra cash, it helps us keep processing costs down so we can keep both PayPal and check payments free of charge. Also, as we said, the average check for a user is well over $20, so for most this won’t affect them at all. Many of our new users take advantage of the offers and daily surveys and make $50-$100 during their first month, so it’s not that difficult to reach $20 in a month given the options available.
Add that to the fact that we have alot of new offers and earning opportunities on the horizon (we just added a bunch of new offers last week), and we think there is no question our program is still the most attractive around, especially considering some of our current promotions and upcoming contests. Over the course of the last two and a half years, we’ve paid out roughly two million dollars, and evidence of checks received is all over the web. We’re going to continue to do just that, and bringing new opportunites to our users is still our main focus.
As CashCrate members your feedback is always welcome and appreciated, we consider it an invaluable resource to have so many users who are looking to make our company a little better everyday. Keep an eye out for good things to come this month!
THANK YOU CASH CRATE! YOU’RE AWESOME!

I really don’t like the new payout amount. I don’t have lots of time to do offers but the $10 was feasible that I could at least count on a check every other month. Also, if I would have known ahead of time I would have tried to have met my $10 last month so I could have at least gotten that! I do appreciate this service though.

The raise in min. payout is understandable by my be discouraging for new referrals not encouraging. Especially because they have no reason to believe this is not a scam they wont want to waste time on doing something that they are unsure will even bring results.
I, myself was only able to make a 20 dollar payout last month but i had about 50 dollars not switched over…
I don’t know I love this place but in my opinion this new change is not such a good idea.

Sounds good, and get more offers, cashcrate!

I cant believe the new pay out is $20. That is so ridiculous. It makes no sense at all. Its our money, we earned it, and we deserved to have the right to cash out when we like. That is too hight of an amount and will take a long time for a lot of use to make it. Some of us can only do this in our spare time and this makes things so hard on use now.
I would like to suggest that you change the pay out amount back to the previous amount. This will help out all the members plenty.
Thanks for making this even more difficult and causing you to potentially loosing a lot of cash crate members.
Sincerely,
Disgruntled Member.

WOOT!
Sweetness! I am soo happy CC is now paying through paypal. It used to be a 1-2 week process for me before to get to the point were I can spend my money at all.
TRULY HAPPY!
I really don’t mind the $20 payout, but my referrals will. Its gonna be a discouragement to them. 8/ But we will live.
Again, Thanks CC!

I feel like $20 from $10 is too big of a jump. If it was $15 i’d be more tempted to stay. While you may think raising it to $20 will make people complete more offers, you aren’t considering the people who make just about $10 each month, they may loose the motivation to stay with the site if they are only getting checks every 2-3 months instead of every month.
Comment by Amanda — September 10, 2008 @ 3:23 pm
I totally agree with you Lydia. It takes me a while to make $10 farless $20, mainly because I’ve already joined or participated in most of the offers on other sites.

I honestly dont like the new payout amount.
Comment by ari — September 11, 2008 @ 9:51 pm
I myself do my offers when I have free time. I work full time 5-6 days a week, and have a household to run. If we could be given a choice to choose our minimum payout amount that would be great. So that those who earn more can choose $20.00 or more, and people like me can just stay with the $10.00. Thank you much!
Comment by Catherine — September 13, 2008 @ 1:33 pm
i dont like the payout amount. they should make it $2.00 for paypal and $5.00 for check

Thanks for the new options Cashcrate!
I’m going to really enjoy using Payapal instead of cheques, this will save me transaction fees of up to $30, or paying $10 a month to my bank for a ’special’ account. Thanks!

Hi, there. I am from Singapore and have a verified Paypal account.
Do I qualify to be paid by Paypal since Cashcrate indicated that payment via Paypal needs its member to be US verifed.
(Not sure what that means and so I did not request to be paid by Paypal.)
I sure hope I can request payment through Paypal from now onwards.
Cheers!
Thank You.

i agree i don’t like it i have 2 kids and not a lot of time it was easy to get $10 so i could get a check but know it seems like its going to be more difficult
Comment by shavonne — September 17, 2008 @ 11:16 am
I agree. A little advance warning would have been nice. now it will be 2 months before I have earned enough.
Comment by Melissa — September 17, 2008 @ 2:17 pm
I signed up and earned over 20 dollers in an hour, anyone who is complaining about this is obviously a 13 year old kid who wants $10 dollers a month to buy a candy bar, not actual adults who understand immediatly that this program can earn you well over $50 dollers in literally a couple of hours (spread out over a week). Anyone complaining about this should be banned for idiocy.

Adding Paypal is great, but raising the min payout is going to turn away a lot of potential and current members. This needs to be fixed.
Comment by chris — September 19, 2008 @ 1:12 pm
It fine by me I always make way more than 20$
although my referrals might complain a little bit, but overall is all good. Likewise I do love the paypal no longer waiting for a check
THANK CC, REALLY THANK YOU

Add me to the list of those not liking the new payout amount. Bad move on your part, Cashcrate!

Yay! =]

I just started with cashcrate. Anyone living in the real world should realize how much it cost to pay hundreds of people, especially by check. I don’t understand the complaints about $20.00 min. It just makes good business sense to me. Looking forward to making more than $20 a month! Thanks for the opportunity!

I signed up a few months ago, and really enjoy it! I received my first $10.00 check. I will just work harder I like the $10.00 payout. I will look at this as a goal, and make the best of it. This does help with the extras in life, and we should all remember that. All the extra dollars and cents help. Thanks for the service, and thanks for the comments.I must go on the forum!
Comment by Dorsie — September 26, 2008 @ 9:19 am
I have just signed up, and havn’t done anything yet except read these mostly negative comments.
I have a hard time beleiving there are so many people biting a pillow over a $20.00 check.I also don’t understand wanting to do anything for only $10.00 a month.I think these people might be students, the way they are carrying on over 10 Bucks.
Well here goes, I’ll see how I do.Vinny
Comment by Vinny — September 27, 2008 @ 8:42 am
I just became a member and haven’t even started yet but I have to agree with the $20 min to payout. People need to understand that the company in some way is going to have their charges too and there has to be a minimum to keep those down. And besides, if you are not making atleast $20 per month I can’t see this being worth your time to invest.
Comment by Sarah — September 27, 2008 @ 10:11 am
Hey if you want a tip do 2-3 surveys a day. Pick the surveys that pays $0.30-0.50 and it ads up. Also get your friends and family to join under you.
You will earn more off of your referrals. At least cash crate answers the emails and also send out checks unlike the other survey sites they never pay. I rather for them to go up on the $20 and offer pay pal instead of Not Paying.
Thanks Cash Crate for Offering Pay Pal Now.

The 20.00 payout may seem high but what alot of people dont know is it can take sometimes a month or more for the companies that are paying out for the offers you complete,so only when they pay, can a site pass on those earnings to you. i lke getting to cash out fast to but its most important to know its not a scam and i will get paid
Comment by tina — September 28, 2008 @ 11:04 am

I agree with so many others that the min pay out of $20.00 is very discouraging and I really don’t feel it was done for out best interest.
I would like to see it go back to to the $ 10.00 min or at least $15.00.The low min is part of what made me trust this site and keep coming back.
Comment by Kathy — October 1, 2008 @ 5:13 am
I think that the $20 is great. Listen you will still get your $3 for all your referrals if they get $10 so don’t worry. I didn’t even know they had a minimum payout until a month after I joined. I have made $38.00 in only 4 hours of work in the whole month.. basically 5 offers a day.. you can do that. Don’t worry it’s fine people. Good job Cashcrate more surveys for me if they want to quit. Click here for more info!

Comment by Henry Eliza — October 5, 2008 @ 9:37 pm
I was a little alarmed about the new payout minimum as well, but I don’t want to have to start paying a fee for cashcrate to cut me a check or use paypal either. As long as this site stays free to use I’m game.
