Eric is a successful referrer and has been a member at CashCrate since 2012. He shares suggestions for getting referrals below:


One of the best ways to make money with CashCrate is by referring other people. As you may know, when you refer people to CashCrate, you will earn a percentage of their earnings, along with some other bonuses that vary. (If you want to read the details of how the referral program works, click here.) It’s a tiered system, so the more people you refer, the more you can potentially get out of each referral.

To give you an idea of how powerful referrals can be, I’ll share with you my statistics. I’ve been a CashCrate member for less than a year (since October 2012) and have amassed 7,791 referrals, and those referrals have referred 480 people. Therefore, I can potentially earn a percentage of earnings from over 8,000 members. For me, this has led to over $3,000 in earnings, and it continues to grow each day.

I’d be lying if I said it was easy to get this many referrals – it takes some hard work, which is why I wanted to share with you some great CashCrate referral strategies today. Here they are:


1) Create a blog around something that interests you – don’t just be another CashCrate promotion blog!

There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of blogs out there that exist solely to promote CashCrate. The problem with this is that they don’t stand out, and therefore are never found by most people.

The better approach is to blog about something that interests you, and then work in your CashCrate referral link where applicable. This is where I’ve made most of my referral earnings. For example, let’s say you’re a “mommy blogger” who writes about how to save money when buying household essentials, such as groceries or toiletries. Your readers will probably also be interested in making some spare money online, which is why it would be appropriate to also periodically write about your experience with CashCrate (and keep a CashCrate banner on your sidebar or somewhere else visible within your blog).

While there are ways to build blogs more “professionally” if you’re willing to invest your time and a few dollars (I’ve written about this on my blog here: http://www.my4hrworkweek.com/blog-setup), you can also easily set up a blog for free through sites like Blogger.com or Tumblr.com.

Promoting your blog is complicated topic that is outside the scope of this article, however start simple by writing some good quality content. Also, you can comment on other similar blogs (which usually allows you to include a link back to your site), and you’ll slowly begin to see traffic trickle in. It can be a slow process, but you’ll be rewarded if you stick with it.


2) Join a forum that interests you, and include your referral link in your signature.

Many people already do this in the CashCrate forum, but to really drive new referrals, you need to branch out to forums about other topics. For example, if you’re into dog training, find a forum that discusses dog training, but be sure to include your CashCrate referral link in your forum signature (make sure this is allowed by the rules of the forum!).

When crafting your forum signature, don’t just post the URL. Write some additional text that includes a “call to action.” For example, you might write something like “When I’m not spending time with my dog, I love to earn money online through CashCrate. Check it out here [insert referral URL here].” Again, make sure this is allowed, and don’t be OVERLY promotional. Make sure you’re actually adding value to the forum, and not just posting for the sake of getting your referral link out there.

Need help finding a forum that fits your interests? Try a simple Google search of “[your interest]” + forum. Going with my previous example, a search for “dog training” + forum returns several good possibilities for forums I can interact with.


3) Think outside the box.

I think the two methods I mentioned above are probably two of the most common ones mentioned (although hopefully my more specific tips will guide you better). Beyond those, you really need to think outside the box.

Some people have suggested ideas such as paying for ads or going door-to-door, and while these could be effective, you also have to evaluate whether they are worth the time or money. I’m a big believer in doing things that minimize effort and maximize results. There’s a sweet spot in there of course…you can’t do nothing and expect everything, and likewise, you don’t want to do A LOT for relatively nothing in return.

One idea is to find Meetup.com groups that match your interests. This could allow you build relationships AND eventually get your CashCrate referral link out there (in contrast to this, I doubt you’d build many relationships going door-to-door). The idea here is to accomplish multiple things at once, so that even if you don’t get a CashCrate referral in your first week, you’re still getting something out of it.

Take some time to brainstorm ideas that accomplish multiple objectives, and you’ll be on your way to creating real value in your life while also building your CashCrate referral earnings.

May has been such an awesome month for me: My very 1st Mother’s Day, and my baby girl’s 1st birthday.

Summer brings out the best in people, and CashCrate has made it very possible for me to have an amazing first Mother’s Day as well as give Paige the best 1st birthday party.

CashCrate is an amazing place to make money, and it is a huge part of people’s lives. For me for example, because of this amazing place I was able to save up money to give my daughter an awesome first birthday. I saved up enough to throw her a big Minnie Mouse party, it was great.

Doing the daily surveys, taking part in the live contests, and doing CashCrate offers has allowed me to be able to save up a little each month. It’s important to set a goal and reach that for yourself. We are able to reach our goals when we try. With having a 1 year old and going to school full time I still find the time to get on here and earn a bit of cash, it comes in handy when you need it.

It is one of the easiest sites to make money on. Just keep trying. If you don’t give up, you can make a lot.

One helping of stuffing with your meal is a good thing. And the same thing can be said about keywords.

Keywords are words and phrases people would type into a search engine like Google, Yahoo, or Bing to find your site or blog. If you are writing about CashCrate on your site or blog, you might choose to use keywords and keyword phrases like:

CashCrate
Surveys
Paid Surveys
Cash Offers
Paid to Search
Paid Videos
Ect.

Lets say you are trying to rank for CashCrate in a search engine. In other words, you are trying to get your site to appear on page 1 of the search results when people type CashCrate into a search engine. Is it a good idea to use the word CashCrate over and over again in your write up? No! It’s a terrible idea. Using the same words or phrases over and over again in your content is called Keyword Stuffing. And I am pushing it in this paragraph for “CashCrate”

I think the best advice is just write naturally. And try to write as much as you can, as often as you can. Search engines love original content that is updated on a regular basis. And people like interesting content.

Keep an eye on your Keyword Density as well. Keyword Density is the number of times a keyword or a keyword phrase appears on your site or your blog. If you are worried you’ve used the same word or phrase too many times, you probably have. So revise your content if you can.


Think of it this way. Have one helping of Stuffing. It’s an enjoyable side dish. But eat a whole box of stuffing and you may have an upset stomach.

The same thing is similar for keyword stuffing. Search engines like Google might enjoy one or two servings of keywords. But stuff a whole bunch of the same word(s) into your content and Google may lose its appetite for your site.

For along time as a single mom, I didn’t have any income to do anything special for me for my birthday or even get me anything nice. Since my birthday is a few weeks after my May earnings this will be the first time ever I could have enough income to do something for me on my special day.

I have always wanted to pamper myself in some way but was always set up for disappointment because of not having any money to do so.

Thanks to CashCrate I will be able to take some money to use to pamper myself and the rest goes towards my daughter’s cheerleading.

How did Google Page Rank get its name?  That’s a good question.





Like many of you, I assumed it was called Page Rank because it referred to the rank of my website or blog “page”.

But I was surprised when I looked into this further.

Google Page Rank is an a link analysis algorithm, named after it’s creator Larry Page.  Also, the initial version of Google was hosted on the Stanford University Web site.

Things have come a long way since 1996.  Larry Page was a co-founder of Google who is now worth billions.

It makes me wonder what we’d be calling Page Rank if it was created by someone else.

So it’s officially spring! I love spring, I think it’s one of the most beautiful seasons. I also love fall, but that is a post for another season. Anyway, have you ever heard the saying April showers bring May flowers? Well I have and it is so true. I love how we get so much in April because by May it is gorgeous and my flowers bloom amazingly!

Not to mention May is another favorite for my because well my own beautiful Flower was born in May last year so I have so much to look forward to. Enough about that. On to the good parts.

Do you like flowers, lawn furniture, having barbeques outside and all the good stuff? Well psst let me let you in on a secret way to do all of that this upcoming May, (come real close the screen). Are you ready? It’s a secret so don’t tell anyone but work really hard and win this month’s contest!

Yay. Okay, not so much of a secret but hey I tried.
